It’s a little heavy to be ideal for everyday portable use, but it will fit happily in a rucksack for offsite meetings or university lectures. The Acer Aspire 3 has a decent keyboard and a passable touchpad. Performa laptop ini yang cukup kencang berkat AMD Ryzen R7 2700U. Di dalam AMD Ryzen R7 2700U terdapat prosesor 4 core dengan 8 threads. Prosesor tersebut memiliki kecepatan sampai Sokongan RAM 4 GB dan kartu grafis juga turut memengaruhi performa laptop ini. Saya tidak berpatokan pada satu benchmark, karena itu, saya juga menggunakan benchmark lain untuk mengukur performa laptop ini. Saya memakai bcnhmark Cinebench R15 yang umum digunakan para pengulas laptop. Penggunaan benchmark ini menghasilkan insight. Perhatikan! Dari pengujian pertama, terlihat kalau AMD R7 2700U di laptop ini mendapat skor 662, skor yang tidak berbeda jauh dengan prosesor Intel Core i7-3770, prosesor Intel kelas atas yang sudah cukup lama. Di pengujian grafis OpenGL, performa laptop ini ternyata hanya mendapatkan 12,26 fps. Nilainya cukup kecil di pengujian pertama. Saya cukup penasaran kenapa skor laptop ini tergolong kecil dan malah performanya mirip dengan prosesor Intel Cor i7 generasi ke-3. Karena itu, saya mencoba mengetes lagi untuk kedua kalinya. Hasilnya bisa dilihat pada gambar berikut. Pada pengujian kedua, skor CPU yang didapat malah turun. Sementara skor OpenGL justru naik di angka 47,62 fps. Hasil yang berbeda ini membuat saya penasaran dan akhirnya saya melakukan tes Cinebench R15 ketiga kalinya. Hasilnya didapatkan sebagai berikut. Di pengujian ketiga, skor CPU masih sama. Ternyata performa laptop ini berada di skor 527. Skornya cukup bersaing dengan prosesor Intel Core i7 generasi ketiga. Apakah ini menandakan kalau performa laptop ini tergolong baik? Secara keseluruhan, performa laptop ini tergolong cukup baik di kelasnya. Satu catatan tambahan, laptop ini memiliki kipas yang tidak begitu berisik. Kipasnya cukup adem sehingga bisa dibilang sistem pendingin di laptop ini tergolong baik. 2. Dual GPU Sudah disebutkan sebelumnya jika laptop ini hadir dengan dual GPU yakni Radeon RX Vega 10 dan AMD Radeon 535. Kehadiran dua GPU ini tentunya membuat laptop ini tergolong optimal untuk menjalankan program yang membutuhkan komputasi pengolah grafis. Meskipun sebenarnya ada juga yang beranggapan kalau Ryzen seri ini sebenarnya sudah cukup mumpuni dengan grafis terintegrasi Radeon RX Vega 10 saja. Di pengujian Cinerbench R15, performa yang diperlihatkan adalah performa dari AMD Radeon 535. Terlihat dari gambar di atas, kalau kemampuan grafis AMD Radeon 535 di laptop ini ternyata mendekati kemampuan Nvidia GT650 yang umum digunakan di PC Desktop. Tentu saja skor ini belum menggambarkan performa secara keseluruhan. Hanya saja benchmark ini bisa jadi gambaran dari performa laptop ini. Saya sendiri merasakan performa laptop ini tergolong kencang. Tidak ada kendala ketika saya bekerja secara multitasking menggunakan laptop ini. Sokongan RAM 8 GB dual channel di laptop ini ternyata memang berpengaruh juga ke kemampuan multitasking laptop ini. Saya juga penasaran dengan performa gim dari laptop ini. Saya pun mencoba memainkan PUBG Steam. Sayangnya, dua hari saya coba masuk server selalu gagal karena server sibuk. Namun, saya bisa memberikan gambaran default pengaturan grafis PUBG di laptop ini, yakni sebagai berikut. Saya tentu cukup penasaran dengan performa dari kedua grafis ini saat menjalankan gim PUBG alias PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Untungnya, tim dari sudah menguji performa laptop ini dengan gim PUBG. Tim pengulas mengatakan seperti berikut ini. Saat kami lakukan pengujian dengan PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, gerakan game tampak berjalan mulus tanpa kendala berarti. Sudah Memakai SSD Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X sudah dibekali dengan kapasitas penyimpanan HDD dan SSD. Untuk HDD, tersemat kapasitas penyimpanan sebesar 1 TB. Sementara untuk SSD, kapasitas penyimpanan yang diberikan adalah 128 GB. Berikut status HDD dan SSD yang tersemat di laptop ini. Terlihat dari status tersebut kalau HDD yang tersemat di laptop ini berasal dari Toshiba. Sementara SSD tidak ada keterangan yang jelas merknya. Tetapi berdasarkan program Speccy, SSD di laptop ini adalah dari jenama Hynix. Oh yah, SSD di laptop ini ternyata memiliki suhu 39 derajat saat saya lakukan cek pada SSD. Hal ini cukup wajar mengingat di SSD ini sudah terpasang Windows OS original. Penggunaan Windows OS Original di laptop ini tergolong baik. Tak butuh waktu lama bagi saya untuk membuka Windows. Hanya sekitar dua atau tiga detik saat dinyalakan, laptop langsung masuk ke halaman login Windows. Hal ini berbeda dengan laptop lama saya yang masih menggunakan HDD. Saat saya nyalakan, kira-kira saya perlu menunggu sampai 2 menit. Oh yah, performa SSD di laptop ini tergolong kencang. Saya sudah menguji mengggunakan Crystal Disk Mark 6 kemampuan baca dan tulis SSD di laptop Acer sebagai berikut. Terlihat kalau performa baca read laptop ini sampai kisaran 514 MB/s. Sementara untuk kemampuan menulisnya write memiliki kecepatan di angka 133 MB/s. Saya juga menguji perpindahan data via USB dari-dan-ke laptop ini. Hasilnya ternyata cukup cepat. Sebagai pembanding kemampuan kecepatan baca dan tulis SSD ini, bisa disimak juga gambar berikut yang berisi informasi hasil tes Crystal Disk Mark 6 pada HDD di laptop ini. Dari hasil pengujian, terlihat kalau SSD yang ada di Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X memiliki performa 5 kali lebih cepat dibandingkan HDD yang juga tersermat di Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini. 4. Hinch Layar yang Bisa Sampai 180 Derajat Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini menggunakan layar 15 inci dengan hinch yang tergolong cukup kokoh. Saya agak sedikit berat ketika saya membuka bagian layarnya dengan satu tangan. Hal ini berarti hinch pada laptop ini tergolong cukup kokoh. Yang menarik, layarnya ini memiliki hinch yang cukup fleksibel karena bisa dilepas sampai sejajar dengan keyboard alias 180 derajat. Bahkan, saya masih bisa menekunya sedikit. Tidak sampai 360 derajat memang tetapi kemampuan ini juga sudah cukup baik. Di beberapa seri laptop Acer kelas menengah juga ada yang sudah memiliki kemampuan layar yang bisa bergerak sejajar dengan keyboard ini. Good Job, Acer! 5. Bodi Kokoh Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini memiliki bodi yang cukup kokoh. Saat saya pegang dan membawa laptop ini, bodi laptop ini terasa cukup solid. Selain itu, permukaan laptop ini memiliki tekstur yang cukup baik. Saat dipegang, bodi laptop dan permukaan terasa kalau laptop ini seperti terbuat dari kayu mahal. Fakanya, Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini memiliki bodi berbahan polycarbonat yang dipoles dengan finisihing mirip seperti tekstur yang lembut dan tidak terkesan murahan. Satu kelebihan lain tentunya dari laptop ini. Kekurangan Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X 1. Layar Masih HD dengan Panel TN Satu hal yang mengganggu saya dari seri Acer Aspire 3 dengan prosesor Ryzen ini, yakni layarnya yang masih HD. Saat artikel ini dibuat, seluruh seri Acer Aspire 3 dari mulai Ryzen 3 sampai Ryzen 7 yang masuk resmi ke Indonesia, semuanya menggunakan resolusi HD saja. Padahal di luar, ada Acer Aspire 3 varian Ryzen 7 yang sudah menggunakan resolusi full HD. Layar laptop ini tambah kurang menarik lantaran dimensi layar laptop ini yang cukup lebar, yakni 15,6 inci dengan panel TN. Padahal, jika menilik kelas harganya, laptop ini seharusnya bisa memberikan tampilan layar IPS agar sudut pandang layar yang lebih baik. Bagi yang belum tahu, panel laptop itu umumnya hadir dengan dua panel IPS dan TN. Ada satu panel lagi yakni VA. Baik IPS maupun VA, keduanya memiliki sudut pandang layar yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan di gambar atas, layar laptop ini terlihat mampu menampilkan tampilan yang baik meski agak sedikit buram jika melihat dari samping. Meskipun masih TN, saya masih cukup menghargai tampilan layar laptop ini yang cukup baik dalam menampilkan visual warna seperti berikut ini. Terlihat kalau laptop ini cukup cerah dalam menampilkan warna. Namun, tentu saja jika menggunakan panel IPS, layarnya akan sedikit lebih baik. Apalagi jika saya melihat dari sudut pandang lain. 2. Bezel Layar Cukup Tebal Masih tentang layar, kali ini saya agak protes dengan bezel layar laptop ini yang cukup tebal. Acer seharusnya bisa mendesain layar laptop ini lebih baik seperti yang mereka lakukan pada seri Acer Swift 3. Kebetulan, saya memiliki Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G yang bezelnya cukup tipis. Bahkan, layar laptop Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G sudah mendukung full HD. Karena itu, ketika saya berpindah menggunakan Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini, ada perubahan kesan saat melihat tampilan layar laptop ini. Bezel yang besar ini cukup membuat laptop jadi punya ukuran yang lebih besar dibanding laptop dengan bezel layar tips yang sama-sama mengusung dimensi 15,6 inci. Tidak ada kata salut untuk soal bezel layar ini. Terlebih karena laptop dengan bezel tipis sedang populer. 3. Tidak Ada Sensor Sidik Jari Ketiadaan sensor sidik jari di Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini jadi satu kekurangan lain. Pasalnya, laptop di kelas menengah yang harganya Rp7 jutaan, umumnya sudah dibekali dengan sensor sidik jari. Memang hal ini masih jadi kekurangan minor tetapi bisa jadi salah satu alasan untuk tidak beli bagi orang yang memang membutuhkan laptop dengan sensor sidik jari. 4. Tidak Ada Port USB Type-C Tidak hadinya port USB Type-C tentu jadi hal yang perlu diperhitungkan. Terlebih jika menilik kebutuhan device zaman sekarang yang banyak terhubung menggunakan port USB Type-C. Satu nilai minus lain tentunya. Hanya kalau menurut saya, tidak hadirnya port USB Type-C ini tidak begitu pengaruh karena kebetulan saya juga belum banyak bercengkrama dengan gawai yang memiliki port USB Type C. Catatan Tambahan Plus & Minus Sebelum ditutup, saya memberi catatan tambahan untuk dua sektor yang mungkin bisa jadi kelebihan bagi sebagian orang tetapi bisa jadi kekurangan bagi sebagian lainnya. Sektor pertama adalah posisi port. Tidak ada yang salah dengan posisi port seperti USB dan USB yang ada di tempat semestinya. Pun dengan port HDMI. Yang jadi masalah adalah posisi port colokan listrik dan port audio yang ada di sebelah kanan. Bagi saya yang terbiasa memakai laptop dengan port colokan listrik dan port audio di sebelah kiri, hal ini jadi satu kekurangan tersendiri. Tepatnya, saya harus membiasakan lagi. Untuk yang terbiasa dengan posisi ini tampaknya bukan masalah besar. Sektor kedua adalah soal layout keyboard. Layout keyboard laptop ini menggunakan layout full size alias lengkap dengan tombol numerik. Saya tidak masalah dengan keyboard terpisah yang menggunakan layout full size, tetapi untuk laptop, rasanya saya harus membiasakan diri lagi. Maklum, saya terbiasa menggunakan laptop dengan layout keyboard TKL ten keyless alias tanpa tombol numerik. Rasanya, jari saya jadi terkesan kaku saat mengetahui kalau tombol enter posisinya ada di bagian tengah. Untuk yang tidak terbiasa dengan keyboard layout full size tampaknya hal ini jadi kekurangan tersendiri. Sebenarnya, soal keyboard ini masih bisa diakali dengan menggunakan keyboard USB tambahan. Tetapi kalau terus-terusan, berarti keyboard laptop ini tidak terpakai, bukan? Oh yah, berbicara soal keyboard laptop ini, feel mengetiknya cukup enak meskipun jarak antar tombol tampak terlalu dekat. Simpulan Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X adalah laptop yang tergolong menarik. Kemampuan prosesor, kartu grafis ganda, serta SSD di laptop ini termasuk jempolan dan cukup mumpuni di kelasnya. Namun, layar laptop ini terasa kurang begitu nendang. Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini cukup asyik juga untuk bermain gim dan mengerjakan tugas produktif. Tentu laptop ini juga tergolong nyaman untuk mengedit video maupun grafis meskipun tampilan layarnya kurang maksimal karena masih mengusung HD saja. Tertarik dengan laptop ini? Kalau saya yang ditanya, secara subjektif, saya kurang begitu suka dengan Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X. Bodinya yang cukup tebal, soal keyboard, dan sektor layar yang kurang gereget adalah beberapa alasan yang membuat saya kurang tertarik dengan laptop ini. Kalau performa, sih, saya tidak meragukan laptop ini. Tentu selera saya berbeda dengan pembaca sekalian. Karena itu, jika ada yang tetarik dengan laptop ini, tidak ada salahnya untuk segera membeli Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G-R38X ini. Harganya?
